Onto happier moments.....
This weekend we went to my dear MIL's retirement party. It was a surprise for her that family and friends were coming. She was surprised (for sure!). It was wonderful, not only for her, but being able to be a part of such a wonderous celebration of her.
School has started and it is really (REALLY) busy this year. 3rd grade has tons of homework and 1st grade is working diligintly on reading. Youngest has now gotten glasses (with her whole maternal side of the family being blinder than bats it was inevitable) and talk about cute! Course, she thinks that we need to clean them every 5 minutes and hasn't gotten the concept that if you don't handle the lenses with your greasy, Oreo mush coated fingers, you wouldn't have to clean them so often.

Oldest daugther decided to get her hair cut in a bob, and now she looks older than her years. They grow up so quick!

I was able to continue working on my Rising from the Flame socks on our trip this past weekend. They are progressing well.

And finally, hubby bought a toy and took us out on the lake the other weekend for a fun, family fishing trip.
